What the Father of Modern Management has to say about leadership.

Drucker on Leadership

Leadership Lessons from Peter Drucker

Having come to Claremont in the 1990s, I had the good fortune to hear Peter Drucker speak, talk with him, and, of course, I read much of his work over the years. Although Peter spoke mostly about “management,” it was clear that he was not limiting his view of managers. There was a great deal of exemplary leadership in Drucker’s ideas on good management. Let’s spend this week focusing on some of Peter Drucker’s lessons for leaders.

For Development: There is great value in reading the works of the great leadership thinkers and scholars. Many of them are mentioned in this book. I hope that you would take the opportunity to continue your leadership development through reading classic works in leadership.
