The Reflection of a Wealthy Man

A wealthy man lay in a hospital bed, recovering from a heart attack that had shaken him to his core. Despite his vast fortunes, the brush with mortality had left him deeply contemplative, questioning the true value of his wealth and the life he had built around it.

As he rested, his Personal Assistant (P.A.) stood by his side, ready to attend to his every need. The rich man, usually brisk and confident, was now pensive. He turned to his P.A. and asked, “When I was hospitalized, I noticed something strange. The minister himself came to visit me, leaving his official duties behind. Why do you think he did that?”

The P.A., a loyal employee who had seen the ups and downs of his boss’s life, replied with a smile, “Sir, you have great respect and influence. The minister visited you out of genuine concern.”

The rich man shook his head slowly, a wry smile playing on his lips. “No, my friend. It’s not respect that brought him here. It’s my money and properties. That’s the real reason.”

The P.A. nodded silently, acknowledging the truth in his employer’s words.
